Many years ago, Amina contacted me, after discovering my portfolio online. She wanted to be photographed and so we decided. At that time, I didn’t use much photo equipment, mostly because the photos I shot only would be used as reference material for future paintings.
Amina made a very nice impression and was a very professional model. She had to sit on my kitchen table, and I directed the lamps I had to create a light, good enough that could be useful in the painting later. As Amina was more used to being photographed for a certain expression, she posed like she was used to. It was a challenge for her to model according to my directives. Below you see the final result in the form of an oil painting. Other details in the painting are from completely different references photographed by me on different occasions.
